EHEIM LAKE
Brand:
Eheim
Description
The bog area is a wide, flat area at the edge of the pond. The bog area is a safe hiding place for frogs and a bathing and drinking area for birds and other small animals. There are several decorative plants to choose from for this area, such as marsh marigold or iris.
The marsh area should transition gently into the shallow water zone. Shallow water plants can filter the nutrients from both the soil and the water in the pond, and purple coneflower and hedgehog bud are ideal for this purpose.
The deep water zone provides space for floating plants such as water lilies or rooted plants such as willowherb. The pond pump should also be placed in the deep water zone.
